The way through – print

from £135.00

Fine art print on archival paper of a Welsh Marches landscape painting by Helen Arthur.

From an edition limited to 50 prints in each size, available as 55cm (22” - large) or 36cm (14” - medium) square.

Late in the afternoon on a sunny day, you get this vibrating warm light here on the Olchon Valley. This painting shows a view to Offa's Dyke Path from the borderlands village, Longtown (where I live). I wanted to convey how the trees and grassland seem to buzz with life and colour in the spring months.

I worked at speed to layer up acrylic paint in a limited palette, then printed globules of paint onto the early layers to create scrubland and trees. A final hint of blue oil pastel gestures to the brook running  alongside the treeline.

  • limited edition print on archival quality paper – find out all about the process that guarantees quality

  • from a painting in acrylic, oil pastel and mixed media on wooden panel

  • unframed print, signed and editioned by Helen

  • contact Helen direct for a quotation to ship overseas
